Australia vs India final – Australia won the ICC World Cup 2023 after beating India by six wickets in a one-sided manner at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Sunday.
Australia secured their sixth World Cup title, a record that surpasses West Indies and India, both of whom have two championships each. The Aussies now have at least four more titles in their trophy collection than their closest competitors.

Travis Head starred for the winning side by scoring a remarkable century as the left-handed batter stood tall despite his side losing three early wickets.
Head trashed Indian bowlers on all parts of the ground and scored 137 runs on 120 balls with 15 fours and four sixes, showing no mercy on their opposition.
Marnus Labuschagne, cool and collected, gave excellent support to Head as he began his innings at a steady pace. Labuschagne played smartly by keeping the scoreboard ticking, allowing Head the space to pick his shots and score boundaries.
The two batters built a formidable 192-run partnership which guided Australia to yet another title triumph.

Batting first, India didn’t get an ideal start as Mitchell Starc gave them a big blow in the fifth over by removing star opener Shubman Gill for just four runs. The right-handed batter was caught at mid-on by Adam Zampa.
Despite facing setbacks, Rohit Sharma continued to play aggressively in the initial overs, scoring crucial runs for India. Unfortunately, in the 10th over, he fell short of a well-deserved half-century, caught by Glenn Maxwell in a stunning catch by Travis Head.
Soon after, Shreyas Iyer also lost his wicket, leaving India at 81-3 in just 10.2 overs. However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli built a promising 67-run partnership. Kohli, after completing his half-century, fell victim to Pat Cummins due to a misjudged short ball.
Rahul carried on, but with little support from other batsmen, India struggled. The team eventually was all-out for 240 runs in 50 overs. Six Indian players failed to reach double digits, leading to their first and most costly defeat in the World Cup.
